Hi List!
It would be nice if anyone of you who use PMA on a platform that uses socket has a look at the bug #473314 (phpmyadmin ignores socket definition) just to ensure this is a true bug and not a configuration problem.

I've tested it. There is no bug for me. It works perfectly.
