Hi folks,
The irc user AlexC_ who I think is from the TangoCMS project just
informed me that the download link on the main phpmyadmin.net page
(right hand side, "Download 3.3.2") is incorrect. It links to the
release notes instead.
He also informed me that the release notes for 3.3.2 don't seem to be
directly available, either.
Thanks!

Hi,
as some seem to have problems with this, here is a quick explanation.
The goal of js_include mechanism is to add calls of the js files into
the HEAD portion of the generated HTML. Therefore you must do your
js_include definitions before libraries/header.inc.php is executed.
So adding js_include definitions in libraries/tbl_properties.inc.php is
too late in the sequence. Instead, add them in a high-level file like
tbl_alter.php and tbl_create.php.

This may be a stupid question to ask. but i just wanna know is there any
possibilities?
When we design themes we are using the php tags and functions in between
them, which make little bit complicated for those who are not an expert in
php. What I'm asking is that, will it be possible to create a markup
language for phpmyadmin themes and some other sections to connect this the
other php files would be easy in the designers view.
I know its possible to create new markup language. facebook has their own
fbml. But i dont have a clue how to do such thing. is it very hard to create
a markup language?
Some example places we can have markup like list all databases, list tables
in databases and so on. This will reduce the complexity of the code and its
possible to MVC structure.
If it is possible, can anyone guide me to create such thing?

Hi all
I just removed mootools from git, so phpMyAdmin should use jQuery only.
Though I am not aware of any remaining mootools usage, I might have
easily missed something. The good thing that it should be now broken,
so it should be easy to notice.

There may be a bug with the current configuration. The privilege tab is enabled if the user has SELECT on mysql.user, not based on whether the user has the Grant Option. This allows the user to enter into Edit Privilege but all of the subsequent queries will fail because the user doesn't have the permission to grant any privileges. Also the current way of handling the privilege queries can get buggy if the user doesn't have ALL PRIVILEGES. The current way to handle changes to server privileges is to revoke *.* then to reassign the privileges that are wanted. This runs into a problem when the User changing the grants doesn't have a grant that they need to reassign to another user. MySQL doesn't allow for a user to modify privileges that they don't have assigned themselves. To prevent this there could be a query on the administrative user's grants and then disable the boxes on the form that they don't have themselves. If they don't have the grant option, then all the boxes could be disabled so they can view grants but not change any of them. Then the query generation needs to be changed from revoke *.* to just revoking/granting the difference in another user's grants.
>In the RFC, the person mentions that the account he's trying to use is
>allowed to do GRANT to create users, so maybe he also has SELECT on the
>"mysql" database?
But because the value of $is_superuser is based off a SELECT on mysql.user
he would have the tab for privileges
The person states
>>The problem that I have is that in Phpmyadmin, there is
>>no easy way to modify the privileges that have been
>>assigned etc. The entire privileges link is not shown
>>even though the owner is able to modify database
>>privileges.
It seems like he is trying to modify the privileges of an existing user.
But, with mySQL the only way to get a list of users and to show grants
(except for the user logged in) is to have SELECT on mysql.user which is
what $is_superuser checks for.

I do.
Is it possible? The grant tab seems to be based off a list from mysql.user Which is the check that is being prevented with "PMA_DBI_try_query('SELECT COUNT(*) FROM mysql.user', $GLOBALS['userlink'], PMA_DBI_QUERY_STORE)" to set the superuser

Aaron,
just to be sure, do you still have a question about this?
