Thilanka, I found a problem for this feature. To reproduce: - open a table - search for something that exists - in the results, click the checkbox for one line - at the bottom, click Change - edit one of the values and go to another field Javascript console says "verificationsAfterFieldChange is not defined". -- Marc Delisle http://infomarc.info

[Phpmyadmin-devel] Navigation integration for Routines, Triggers and Events

Hi there, I planning to integrate the Routines, Triggers and Events into the navigation frame. To achieve this I'm thinking about adding another level to the navigation tree in non-light mode (light mode is unaffected). So that after expanding a database you might be left with more items like 'tables', 'indexes', 'routines', 'triggers' and 'events', which you have in turn expand. Even though triggers are per-table items and every thing else is a per-database item, I think that it's best to show these on a per-database basis in order to avoid another level in the navigation. Please find an initial mock-up for this feature in the attachment. Your thoughts? Rouslan

Hi, I've just pushed my commits for show/hide column feature. If you have some time, please give it a try at [0] and let me know if you have any comment or suggestion. When you are testing, please note that the feature still lack of some things: - column visibility list drop-down arrows are shown in "too many" places when display mode = vertical AND repeatCells = small number - the hide (small X) button is sometimes annoying, especially when we want to sort a small column (e.g., usually ID). I've tried to resize all columns using jQuery to properly display the "hide" button next to the column label. But, unfortunately, it is quite slow. Any other suggestion? Hi Marc, I started working with ajaxify the actions in Table operations and as the initial task I chose the "*Alter table order by*" action for ajaxify. 1. I added the "*$("#alterTableOrderby.ajax").live('submit')*" action to the functions.js file which posts the *alterTableOrderby *form with ajax post and then return the results without reloading the page. 2. I modified the tbl_operations.php file in order to handle the ajax request which was sent by the above action. I pushed my changes to the repo and please check that. Thank you. Try plotting with 'film_id' and 'title' fields for the 'film' table in sakila database. Though the title text might mix up but I've improved on it so that at least all labels are not shown. Like numerical values here also divisions are created on the axes and on zooming the divisions get smaller and labels within that division start to appear. When 4-5 points are on the plot the titles can be seen clearly. I think this is what we initially aimed for. I have also partly rewritten PMA_linkOrButton() This patch has one "limitation": - If the URL Length for PMA_linkOrButton() is to long for a get request and thus a post request is required, the code now relies on Javascript to be enabled. Such a case appears for example when you have a table that has no index and a filled BLOB/TEXT column and you want to delete/edit that row. - I should note however that with the old version when javascript was disabled, the text part of the button/link was not clickable either (in above mentioned case). But in return we gain following advantages: - No type='image'-button oddities. In PMA_buttonOrImage() there's actually a comment saying: "Opera has trouble with <input type="image">" and is not being used, except for IE. - CSS Sprites for Images in PMA_linkOrButton() - I've found a bug where PMA_linkOrButton() generates a form and you want to delete a row, you get javascript confirm box and even though you pressed ok you will be asked to confirm a second time on the server side. If its not there just generate above mentioned case. - The code altogether is now more simple. I've also removed js 1.1 support from functions.js in the process. JS1.2 is available since 1997.
