Hi, I am trying to write unit tests for libraries/sql.lib.php script. I tried several times to write successful test cases but I was not successful. I think it is because I am missing some variable initialization. I tried to find where I am missing but I was not successful. I would appreciate if someone can provide me a sample test case for a method (for example PMA_getNewDatabase method in sql.lib.php) or any reference that I can refer to gain the required knowledge. Hi, Kasun has done a nice job adding the ability to hide navigation items (tables, views, functions, and events in the navigation pane). Any objections to the configuration option at [1]? I suggested $cfg...['hiddenTables'] which isn't completely accurate as non-table items can be hidden as well; Kasun suggests 'navigation' which might be too vague. Of course 'navigation_pane_hidden_items' is too long; does anyone have a strong opinion about this? Thanks

Hi, I am trying to write unit tests sql.lib.php. In that I want to create an instance of the database interface (GLOBALS['dbi']) to test methods by executing queries. I tried to do it by including "libraries/database_interface.inc.php" but I get an error telling "Undefined index: Server". Am I doing something wrong here or is there any other better approach to do this. Regards Supun.

There are three levels of users that I can differentiate between in the error reporting system 1- A non logged in user 2- logged in user that does not have commit access to the phpmyadmin repo 3- logged in user with commit access to the phpmyadmin repo The system has a range of actions from viewing of error reports listing, full error reports to creating tickets on the error reporting system as well as changing the status of the report. do you need something to be for some privileged users or do you think that anyone should be able to do anything. should I require a login at any point or is there no use

For the error reporting system I am trying to get some info onto the name of the server currently running. I am using the server signature to try and find the server and its version. I am collecting a lot of info about the configuration when an exception occurs to store in the report. it however is mostly useless except to help when trying to reproduce the problem. so I am thinking of offering 2 views for the report. one shows the most important info which is simplified such as browser name and major version only rather than the entire browser version. it allows me to show a lot of info about the various configurations of the reports of the same bug. The other view will be a pure json one. it will be pretty printed to be easier to read but mostly I will depend on the beautifier plugins in the browser to help navigate the complex json object such as [0] and [1] The main info I will show in the html view would be the pma versions affected, browser, error name and message as well as a stack trace. Hi Supun, I just noticed a bug. When the phpMyAdmin configuration storage is active, the last column on which you sorted a table is remembered. The next time you browse this table, it's sorted on the same column, and you see a small triangle next to the column name.
