Dear Developers,
I would like to know from where do I start contributing to phpmyadmin. I
found some newbie tagged issues but they are already alloted to someone
else.
As you know I just posted a few releases; should I set the corresponding
milestone for issues such as
https://github.com/phpmyadmin/phpmyadmin/issues/11892 ? I don't think it
makes much sense to make the milestone 4.4.15 because the issue only
appears in 4.4.15.3, so I'm leaning towards leaving the milestone blank.
Any other thoughts?
Welcome to phpMyAdmin 4.0.10.14, 4.4.15.4, and 4.5.4.1.
These are bugfix releases that correct some issues that were discovered
with the recent security fixes. These issues affected only a certain
number of users and we apologize for the inconvenience.
phpMyAdmin 4.0.10.14 corrects an error when running under PHP 5.2
phpMyAdmin 4.4.15.4 corrects issue 11892, which can cause an error about
redeclaring a class and also includes code to make integration easier
for package managers who are including phpMyAdmin in their distribution.
phpMyAdmin 4.5.4.1 corrects issue 11892, which can cause an error about
redeclaring a class and also includes code to make integration easier
for package managers who are including phpMyAdmin in their distribution.
More information is available in the release notes:

Dear Developers,
I'm trying to launch the test suite by running the following command from
the root of phpmyadmin folder.
"phpunit -c phpunit.xml.nocoverage"
But, I'm receiving the following error.
'
*PHP Fatal error: Class 'PHPUnit_Extensions_Selenium2TestCase' not found
in /my_local_path/phpmyadmin/test/selenium/TestBase.php on line 18'*
The installation of phpunit was done via composer and it was successful.
Could you think of any other problem which might be causing this issue for
me ?
PHP version 5.6.17
PHPUnit version 5.1.4
Thanks in advance.

Welcome to phpMyAdmin 4.5.4, which contains regular bug fixes and a
number of security fixes. The phpMyAdmin project also announces the
release of versions 4.4.15.3 (a security release compatible with PHP
versions as old as 5.3.7 and MySQL 5.5), and 4.0.10.13 (a security
release compatible with PHP versions as old as 5.2 and MySQL 5).
The security incidents will be documented in the upcoming PMASA-2016-1
through PMASA-2016-9, which will be available shortly at
https://www.phpmyadmin.net/security/

Beginning January 1, 2016 releases are GPG signed by Isaac Bennetch; you
can find more information about his key at
http://docs.phpmyadmin.net/en/latest/setup.html#verifying-phpmyadmin-releas….
Older releases signed by Marc Delisle are still considered
cryptographically authentic, however none of those versions are
officially supported as these releases supersede those.

Hi Devs,
I'm Lakmal Padmakumara, currently following my masters in Computer Science
at TUM, Germany. While looking for an interesting summer project , I
encountered this proposal
<https://wiki.phpmyadmin.net/pma/GSoC_2016_Ideas_List#Selenium_testsuite>
included in your ideas list for GSoC 2016.
I have prior experience with selenium2 framework through one of my previous
internship and also to have high interest in the area of automated testing
for web applications.
I also noticed some work has been already done in the previous GSoC
sessions (2013). I would be thankful if you can let me know whether this
idea is still open for new students and also what would be a good starting
point, so I can play around a little bit and contribute something even
before the proposal period.
