Yep but this means every user we can't get the true ip address (and whatever we do, there will always be some users in this case) is banished from phpMyAdmin. Isn't it a bit rude?

It is... But what else shall we do? Denying the access only if we can detect the user's IP would be a little inconsistent, wouldn't it? Alexander
