I certainly don't have any problems with you using our code, so long as you credit it to us in there, and don't try to claim it as your own.
Given that we are an open source project, there is nothing really stopping you from using the code anyway, since you are using it in an open source project.
I use phpmyadmin daily and its a damn nice piece of software.
Thanks!
For the licensing, your code would need to be under a GPL license, not any of the other open source licenses, as phpMyAdmin is under GPL.
Hi all,
Very bad news. When you search something about PHP under the Usernet archive's on Google (http://groups.google.com) we can see a link to phpMyAdmin... but phpmyadmin.org :(((
Regards,
Armel.
Hi Armel & list,
I'm a little confused: it's a commercial link... This crazy phpMyAdmin.org guy PAYS for this one!!!
Someone of our team has to write a mail to google to tell them about phpMyAdmin.org. Google has to kick the link if the get to know that this site is a fake!
Can't we do anything against this guy? I suggest to at least place a note on phpMyAdmin.net that we have nothing to do with this cheap copy... Since his page is a nearly 1:1 copy of our official one, he'll get a lot of fun copying this :o)
Alexander
