Hi Michael,
glad to read you'll be back on the project!
Those ideas are exciting, but I think that they should go in 2.7.1. Right now we should be busy stabilizing for 2.7.0-beta1 scheduled on 2005-11-06.
Message freeze will occur on 2005-10-23.
If we open QA_2_7_0 right now, I'm afraid we will have much duplicate work to do for bug fixing (there are show-stoppers right now in the bug tracker), so I would like to open it only on 2005-10-30. Then you (and others) could start playing on HEAD.
Unless someone objects and finds that adjusting themes (the current way) for 2.7.0 is too complex.

Hi Members,
I like this Icons to ;) Are the Icons free? Can we use them without any limitations? And are there all by PMA needed Icons available?
Next week I'm back again from my holidays and my job for the big project is done, so I will find more time to work on the pma project.
I've making some tests with template files to work with separate layout files, application files and xml-configs.
So it would become easier to work with themes, languages and styles. And of course I'm thinking we can make a brand for 'PMA-Lite'?
Next week I will start to build the template based PMA on the latest CVS-Snapshot. Should we make a new testing plattform for these?
Regards Michael Keck

possible we can switch to the Tango-Icons
I looked at those when the project has been announced, however there is too few icons we can use right now.
yes, of course, when they are available ... ;-)
Anyway I'd prefer new theme for those over replacing icons in one of existing.
i don't think so, i would prefer this types of icon in the default theme, one good reason: we could make use of the svg images (wether by detection or by a configuration switch) making it more easy to make PMA more WAI conform
btw. i don't like this Microsoft Access style icons much ...
and this icons are designed by GUI specialists - i think they know what they are doing and why.
if we implement this icons (whenever) we could rename the current theme to 'classic'
