You have my fully agreement on this point :)

Well the only things that may differ inside the stylesheet
from one language to another are the font face and the
font size. Then I'm not sure three file are required.
Moreover you know how crappy is NN4 with CSS:
for example a child selector rarely inherit the rules applied
to its parent. In our case it means the font face may have
to be repeated inside each of the selector defnition.
With this is mind, I'm unfortunatly not sure a common css can be used.
Actually we faced the problem with
phpMyChat, that's the reason why I can detail.
My suggestion is only one file (let's say 'stylesheet.php') called this way:
<?php
$css_url = urlencode("/stylesheet.php?fontFace=$strFontFace&
textDirection=$strTextDirection");
?>
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="<?php echo $css_url; ?>" />

Hi,
I am playing in the -devel branch to add (bit by bit) the new code, so don't be surprised if you see
new things that don't work yet :)

Hi Marc!
[About bug ]
Sorry not to have replied to your previous mail:
as phpMyAdmin doesn't work at all with NN4.75 for win
I can't test the bug...
The solution you suggest (an error message if text size >
32 ko) seems convenient IMHO.
[About style="width:...]
>However, it doesn't work in Netscape 4.x, but works in
>IE 5. Is this style="width: " an IE extension?
Nope but the implementation of CSS2 in NN4 is really
crappy. About this selector itself, you may have a look at
these addresses:
http://www.blooberry.com/indexdot/css/properties/dimension/width.htmhttp://css.nu/pointers/bugs.html#NN4
Once again, your solution is the good one as far as we
want to keep phpMyAdmin 'Netsbug' compliant.
Regards,
Loïc

Hi,
this variable is used at some places in phpMyAdmin, in input fields and textareas:
tbl_properties.inc.php3: <input type="text" name="comment" style="width: <?php echo
$cfgMaxInputsize;?>" maxlength="80">
However, it doesn't work in Netscape 4.x, but works in IE 5. Is this style="width: " an IE
extension?
I suggest to add a variable that we could use as the COLS attribute of TEXTAREAs.

Hi,
doing research about this bug (editing large blobs), I was able
to see a TEXT field of 1,030,000 bytes in the textarea.
However, I can't type or modify anything in the TEXTAREA.
Anyone has an idea why?
PS: Netscape 4.7

Unfortunatly Opera JavaScript support is really crappy
most of time :(
BTW is a javascript error message displayed and which
one in this case?
>But displaying the comments (if any) under the title
>(Database yyyy - table xxxxxx), would maybe be nice :)
I suggest an easy way to do it : we sould use the "title"
html tag. I'll try to do it tonight.

I'm not Zazap, sorry ;)

Hello,
Just repackaged and "re-released" the 2.2.0pre3 including the
latest bugfixes: just saw that somebody announced it on freshmeat this morning,
but without any changes description :( Is "ZapZap" on this
devel list ? Next time, please at least do a resumee of the important
changes: there were lots of improvements between pre2 and pre3!
Regards,
Olivier

Hum, have you tried the latest CVS files releases because
I've tried to fix the problem sunday (and it works now with
NS for winwin)?

Hello,
As mentioned a week ago, with current version (pre3),
even if I have lots of databases listed in the left blue
frame, there is no vertical scrollbar displayed under
netscape 4.76+linux, and the only way to access a non listed
db is to type the url /db_details.php3?server=1&lang=fr&db=xyz_dbname.
Seems ok under windows or opera, but well, we're supposed to
improve phpmyadmin, not to add bugs... :)
Am I the only one having this little but annoying problem?
It's maybe because of the move of javascript stuff in another
file ?
Regards,
Olivier
