[Phpmyadmin-devel] how to use Phpmyadmin 3.5.5 r1?

Hello everyone... I just downloaded the new phpmyadmin 3.5.5 r1 english, then i added it to the xampp folder but when i load the "localhost/xampp" on my browser it brings out a new security page. and says acces denied, that i have to configure something in the http-xampp.conf file. Would very much appreciate your help.

Hi Rouslan, Well the idea is great and it should be good to be applied but that developers concern is also a big concern! But there is more about it, if we plan to cache that big file(we are certainly gzipping it?) over the browser(will substantially decrease more payload) then we have to purge the whole big file if even a single file among the list has been changed. Also minified versions sometimes causes error in gzipping and also if we merge it with another minified file. Dron Rathore

Hi all, I've written a patch[0] that will concatenate js files on the server side before sending them to the client. This will reduce the number of http requests for js files to one per page. So, effectively, there will be one request for js files when a user first loads a pma page and subsequently there will 0 or 1 request (depending if we already have the needed js file already loaded client side) for any additional page the user navigates to. The patch would also close feature request[1] #3583340. The performance benefits should be pretty obvious. You can see a screenshot[2] of the firebug network panel that I took before and after the patch. In the screenshot, I started on the main page and went to 4 different server status pages afterwards. This was on a local installation, remote installations should benefit even more... The reason that I'm bringing this issue up on the mailing list is that there is also a drawback. Debugging js files will become somewhat more complex, since we would have to figure out which file a problem might be in. So the question is: are we willing to pay the price for this performance boost? Heya. Haven't written in a while. This appears when I browse a table from my forked github pma of today: *Parse error*: syntax error, unexpected T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUDOTAYIM in * E:\htdocs\nikolaus\pma\phpmyadmin\libraries\DisplayResults.class.php* on line *3879* The seems to be a lot of new bugs + glitchy behavior in the Status monitor, since the transition to jqplot. Here are a few i could pin down:* * - roccivic for some reason deletes the local storage when the page unloads, though it's intention was for storing settings: https://github.com/phpmyadmin/phpmyadmin/commit/9d4799e6728adf792dc955a59a8… - Reloading the page while in the monitor will result in a js error in jqpload and not load the charts - The query analyzer dialog doesn't show the profiling chart anymore. For this however I took the freedom to fix this + graphical glitches myself and send a pull request on github: https://github.com/phpmyadmin/phpmyadmin/pull/113 On another note: - Mousewheel scrolling doesn't work in the left pane when I 1. Hi all, I've been going through the https://wiki.phpmyadmin.net/pma/TestingEnvironment wiki page. I was able to successfully configured the testing environment. But when I run the test ''m getting an error. /var/www/phpmyadmin-master$ phpunit -c phpunit.xml.dist PHPUnit 3.7.10 by Sebastian Bergmann. Configuration read from /var/www/phpmyadmin-master/phpunit.xml.dist ..........Segmentation fault (core dumped) any help would be kindly appreciated. -- Thank You and Best Regards, Senura Yasaswin
