Hi,
Let's discuss an alpha version for 4.0. In the bug tracker, I tried to
find issues that are serious enough to block releasing the first alpha
version, and could not find any.
Opinions?

Hi,
I am using Firebug 1.11.11 and am not able to debug in js.
Currently I'm trying to set a breakpoint inside
$("#rename_db_form.ajax"). First, to find this code segment I use
Firebug's search area (top right) with the "multiple files" option. It
finds the code segment but does not stop at the breakpoint I set.

Hi,
You problably already heard, FYI : A MariaDB Foundation has been
launched, to ensure the future of the MariaDB/MySQL ecosystem. (see
mail below)
Kind regards,

Subject: Status update for MySQL in EU, and Next Steps
To: dieter.adriaenssens(a)gmail.com
Thank you for participating in the Help Save MySQL campaign in the EU.
We promised to
send you a single email update of how things are going and this is it.
There is still an EU process going on regarding the Oracle/Sun case,
but we think it's better
to leave this behind us for now and instead concentrate on the future.
We have some very positive news unrelated to the EU process but very
much about ensuring
a bright future for the MySQL community.
The MariaDB Foundation,
http://mariadb.us6.list-manage.com/track/click?u=723871526dcf9d4250c26b842&…
has been launched.
The MariaDB foundation will ensure that it's not anymore just one
person or one company that
is driving MariaDB/MySQL development. It's only by having a set of
independent companies
together work with the common goal of keeping MariaDB as an actively
developed open source
project that MariaDB and the MySQL ecosystem can be truly free and futureproof.
Over the last 3 years the MariaDB database system has cemented its
place in the database
market as the drop-in replacement for MySQL. Now the time has come to
take the next step.
All from the same trusted team: Holyfoot, Igor, Kristian, Monty,
Sanja, Sergei Golubchik,
Sergei Petrunia, Timour, Wlad and many other developers in the
MariaDB/MySQL community.
You can participate in the MariaDB community and sign up for a
donation to the Foundation
at http://mariadb.us6.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=723871526dcf9d4250c26b842….
Using MariaDB or MySQL for a business critical application?
The best way to ensure MariaDB and MySQL are actively developed is to
help the MariaDB
Foundation to succeed!
Please forward this email to your friends that are using MariaDB / MySQL!
Your email will not be kept or used ever again.

Hi,
as suggested on Rouslan's blog (enhancements):
"Drop $cfg['AjaxEnable']
As already agreed on the phpmyadmin-devel mailing list, the
$cfg['AjaxEnable'] configuration directive no longher makes sense as
almost all requests will be served via ajax anyway. "
Should this be done before the -alpha1?
Is it only a matter of removing all references to this and always behave
as it were "true" ?

Hi madura,
The new versions of xampp and wampp has a new security feature added
to it as now anyone who try to access the loxalhost/xampp or
localhost/wampp has to provide password for authentication.
Also the good point of it is no one from outside can view that folder.
If you simply wanna use phpmyadmin then go for localhost/phpmyadmin
You need not to jump to xampp or wampp to use pma.
Also check the xampp or wampp configuration file for something like this:
<directory>
localhost/x(w)ampp Allow None
</directory>
