OK so let's keep this part of the script. But we may also ensure "enable_dl" is set if php isn't run in "safe mode" and build a list of the multi-threaded servers and the way to get their names.
Can anybody work on this?

How to test if a zipping option is cheked and if not use the old style
dump
else use the new one. Then almost the uncompressed dump may always works.
Well you'll have to check the code in "tbl_dump.php3" and "libraries/build_dump.php3". I don't have enought free time to do it now

maybe you can do it? ;)
