In the wiki it says that to open it in a browser but nothing happen when I did that. Please correct me if I am doing something wrong. Few ideas I have in my mind about testing. Testing module | |__core-code testing | |_PHPUnit tests * | |__Interface testing |_selenium/other interface testing scripts ** |_converted PHP tests from above *** * - contains all the core function tests for code. ** - Here we can have scripts and run them as appropriate in the browser itself. *** - Here we can have PHP tests so that we can test as PHPUnit tests. Another thing is, here we can have some grouped tests like, for example, AllAjaxifiedInterfaceTests.php, so that we can run this test suite to test once Java-script enabled and once disabled. Like wise we can group any possible scenarios. Hello, I am Prasanth. I am new to this list, but would like to get myself involved with phpmyadmin development as I wish to apply for GSoC. I have used phpmyadmin for 2 years now. I love it very much. I am good at php, javascript [including jQuery]. So, I think it will be of use in development. Since, I am new to development, it would be great if someone pointed me to a place to start development. Thanks Prasanth

I am Hasitha Abeykoon who is a final year Computer science and Engineering undergraduate from University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. Examining the ideas list of phpMyAdmin for GSOC 2011 on [1], I found two projects which took my sincere interest. I would like to know more information about the projects and the expected improvements with some technical details so that I can read up and choose one project to follow up. 1. The first project is “Support for Stored Procedures”. I suppose manipulating stored procedures in a nice way means improving the user Interface for the phpMyAdmin users so that they can type stored procedures, view and edit them more easily? As a first step into the project I looked into the “phpMyAdmin improve” page [2] and learnt how to use GIT and get the source code. 2. The second project I like is “User Interface Cleanup”. I have many ideas and thoughts even now which I would be pleased to see in phpMyAdmin interface. For a project on information management of annual functions at CSE we used phpMyAdmin tool, which I felt very admirable. Please direct me on the technologies and any documents that I need to refer in order to learn more about GUI Designing and binding between the Interface and core of phpMyAdmin. • I’m familiar with PHP, MySQL and JAVA. • I have experiences about GUI designing by my internship at Virtusa Cooperation, Sri Lanka [3]. Hi all, I am Kasun Lakpriya from Univesity of Moratuwa, SriLanka. I am following a BSc in Computer Science and Engineering and now I am in my final year. I have participated in 2010 Google Summer of Code and worked for Apache Software Foundation's Directory project. My work with mentor can be found here [1]. I have PHP, MySQL knowledge and unit testing knowledge in Java. While I am going though some interested projects I found phpMyAdmin wiki has some interested ideas. I am very much interested about the second idea [2]. I installed Git and cloned the phpMyAdmin module to my Ubuntu 9.10 machine and had a look into some of the code. And now I am looking into Selenium tests. I would like to work with you all to get familiar with the code-base. Your ideas are welcome to get me started with phpMyAdmin! Hi all I've just noticed that another nice anniversary is coming - 10 years of project existence on SourceForge.net. The project was registered on 2001-03-18. Hi as we're getting closer to the release, we should give translators chance to catch up. Therefore I propose to make no strings changes from now. I was trying to connect phpmyadmin with drizzle. It says error in SQL Query : SET CHARACTER SET 'utf8'... I tried running it in drizzle and same error appears there. How can i disable the charsets/collations that we do on connect ? And is there any specific reason for why drizzle does not support utf8 while mysql does ? ___ Regards Aamir Khan

Hi, there have been changes this week about HTTP headers handling for Ajax, in particular due to bug [0]. I have just pushed commit 67339bab2aa1cc20b0ba0d55d7d6b5feb538607d as an attempt to rectify the remaining problems but I have doubts. I would like testers for Ajax features in current master. For a list of things to test, look at [1] (however this list has not been updated to indicate what has been implemented).
