Hi Mike! Concerning your latest CVS commit: Did you intentionally remove the SQL-History features from the libraries/relation.lib.php3 file? If not, I would like to put the three missing functions (PMA_setHistory, PMA_getHistory, PMA_purgeHistory) in again.. :-) Regards, Garvin.

Hi, We got numerous problems of duplicate field names on table creation. The default configuration of RedHat 8 has, in /etc/httpd/conf.d/php.conf (comments removed): ============ LoadModule php4_module modules/libphp4.so <Files *.php> SetOutputFilter PHP SetInputFilter PHP LimitRequestBody 524288 </Files> DirectoryIndex index.php ========== and in /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf =========== AddType application/x-httpd-php .php =========== Those 2 kinds of directives, used together, give a conflict with arrays in POST variables, which we use in phpMyAdmin. So, remove the line in httpd.conf, like this: #AddType application/x-httpd-php .php and restart Apache. Marc Delisle

Hi! I would like to improve the SourceForge-related request tracker. Basically we have a quite good responsivity, thanks to (mainly) Marc and Alex. I think we could improve our TODO-List and serious bugs, if we could stuff them into better categories and groups. Because I wanted to work on the Apache2 related duplication of SQL statements I tried to get all bug reports on this, which was quite hard. So to ease up things I would like to propose the following new items: ============================================================= Bugs ============================================================= Categories ------------ Authentification issues Configuration Data insertion/extraction PMA DBs: Relations, Comments, History, ... Privileges MIME-transformations PDF Apache-related Navigation Browser/W3C/JS compatibility Security / Restrictions Internationalization Groups -------- Latest CVS ============================================================= Support Request ============================================================= Categories ----------- Documentation / How To Integration Data insertion / extraction Security Internationalization Groups -------- same as in "BUGS". ============================================================= Patches ============================================================= Categories ----------- Interface Documentation Displaying results Export/Import Debugging Parsing Utility scripts MySQL features Groups ------- For immediate release Just basic idea, not for release Work in progress Finished, needs basic testing Finished, needs serious testing ============================================================= Feature Requests ============================================================= Categories ------------ Interface Documentation Displaying results Export/Import Debugging Parsing Utility scripts MySQL features Groups ------- Next release Rewrite Needs more planning ============================================================= What do you think of that? We got a report from a user, his ISP has disabled ini_get() and mysql_list_dbs() for security reasons. Problem is, in this case, function_exists('ini_get') is true even if ini_get() is disabled. Comments? Marc

Hi All! Together with this mail, my last feature "request" for the next version. From now on I want to focus on seeing if all works well, adding transformations and especially creating a documentation. I hope this will get along smoothly, I'm a bit afraid of making a documentation. I'm not that good at this. ;) But for now, I added a vertical display to the tbl_properties.inc.php3 page. I didn't like the cluttering of the horizontal space since transformations got added, so I added to optionally align all fields vertically. Currently this is only one-time configurable in config.inc.php3 - I thought it too hard to make a 'flip' button on the page because of getting the variables from one page to the next. Maybe this can be done in some future release, but for now tell me how you like it? I hope it was okay to include that feature without at first releasing a patch tracker item - in the end I thought it the easier way for you to have a look at, and after all the patch mainly affects a single file so it should be pretty easy to remove, if inconvenient. As I told in the previous mail to Alex, I won't have free-time this weekend (some german national traditions going on, depending a lot on alcohol and stuff... ;) so I hope I'll get to the docs next week.
