We are disappointed, of course, and we are proud of the many great contributions we've received from our past GSoC contributors (not to mention the great team members that have come through the program). phpMyAdmin 4.6.0-rc1 is released

The phpMyAdmin team is pleased to announce the release candidate of version 4.6.0-rc1. Notable changes since 4.6.0-alpha1 include security fixes and fixes to parsing of certain queries with the SQL parser library. phpMyAdmin 4.6.0 will be a regular maintenance release including over 35 improvements. Please note that this release ends support for old versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer, which are no longer supported by Microsoft. There is a new configuration directive, $cfg['Servers'][$i]['ssl_verify'] which is useful in some cases with self-signed certificates. The ForceSSL and PmaAbsoluteUri configuration directives have been removed (the functions of both of these should better be handled by the webserver than the application). A complete list of new features and bugs that have been fixed is available in the ChangeLog file or changelog.php included with this release. A few highlights: * Allow setting routine-wise privileges * UI for defining partitioning in create table window * Support JSON data type * Editing partitions in table Structure * Copy results to clipboard * Reactivate cut&paste possibility in print view * Display binary strings as text if they are valid UTF-8 * Copy multiple tables to database * Show MySQL error messages in user language There are many more improvements; please refer to the ChangeLog for full details. phpMyAdmin security updates: 4.0.10.15, 4.4.15.5, and 4.5.5.1 are released

The phpMyAdmin team announces the release of security updates 4.0.10.15, 4.4.15.5, and 4.5.5.1. The security incidents will be documented in the upcoming PMASA-2016-10 (4.5.x), PMASA-2016-11 (4.0.x, 4.4.x, and 4.5.x), PMASA-2016-12 (4.4.x and 4.5.x), and PMASA-2016-13 (4.5.x), which will be available shortly at <https://www.phpmyadmin.net/security/>. Mentor are welcome as they are needed to guide the students and students are also welcome who would like to contribute. Think about the project idea and post it to mailing list for suggestions. ChangeLog for sql-parser issues?

Hello, Since sql-parser is now another library we include, should we add ChangeLog entries for sql-parser issues that have been fixed in phpMyAdmin? It seems to me this would be good, since sql-parser is closely tied to the functionality of phpMyAdmin (as opposed to, say, tcpdf where the user doesn't care as long as they can still press the PDF button and get a PDF file). However, it is a bit harder to follow which version of sql-parser is with which phpMyAdmin release, since they're not directly linked and we pull the most recent sql-parser 3.x when creating a release. What's the consensus with the rest of the developers here?
