Hi Olivier & All!
Well I don't yet whether we should delay the plain 2.2.0 release
or not because I can't find enough time to have a deep look at
the new bugs since last friday.
>Btw, what is this $fields_prev[] information for ?
Let's say one of your field current value is `this is "my" vel`.
To have it displayed and take into account as a value of a
form field it has to rewritten to `this is & quot;my & quot; val`.
Let's say that while altering the current record you do not
modify this field (ie you modify only onther(s) fields), then the
value passed by the form is `this is & quot;my & quot; val`
and your field will be updated with this value.
$fields_prev[] is only a way to ensure fields with special
characters would be modified only if this is trully required
by the user.
>And it seems to be ok now. If the one who made that (loic ? :)
>could check if it is ok, that would be nice thanks.
Will check this asap.
Cheers,
Loïc

When you are creating a new field and you want the default to be NULL,
the query is getting passed through as
... default 'NULL' ...
but since the quotes are around NULL, it is interpreted as the string
NULL so the default becomes 0...maybe we could add a little checkbox for
null, so it would be like
Default
------- --
| | or | |null
------- --
what do you think?

I'm sorry, if this is the wrong address for submitting bug reports for
phpmyadmin. The homepage and documentation is quite unclear concerning
this. At least for me :o)
It looks like the following is not fixed already for MySQL 3.23 under
Linux. The SQL-Statement returned from get_table_def in lib.inc.php3 is in
lower case (,,create table ...''). In tbl_copy.php3, this string is used
with ereg_replace to create a SQL-Statement for the new table. But: The
regular expression is ,,CREATE TABLE ...'', so this results always in a
table already exists error. I changed this by using eregi_replace instead
of ereg_replace.
jps
some personal mails I got (can't look at it for the moment)

May I suggest a very basic change to tbl_dump.php that will make the
downloading of files more sensical? I have added a mime_types array so
all files don't look like application/octet-stream and I also fixed the
line of "Content-Disposition:" so that it actually carries the filename
through and not the name of the php script. Here is your patch...

Well I find that quite strange. I had tested a bit and really thought
comments were harmless in sql queries. Well, as nobody had answered
after I had said I would suppress remove_remark(), I did it.
May be the comments contain ';'... If this is the case, there may be
no need to get remove_remark() back. (I had forgotten the possibility
of ';' in comments).
Anyway, if you try to remove comments again, you have to ignore '#' that
are in SQL strings if you don't want to bring back the # bug (#444279).
I'm sorry but I'll be unavailable through the next week because of
vacation. Good luck for the 2.2.0-final!

Yep, except if the field value is empty. It doesn't work?

Right.
I'm leaving, CU.

My fault: I commited the wrong file version. Re-commited
with the good one. Sorry.

About last Olivier's changes:
You're right NS requires ... only if $row[$i] is empty. I was
curently working on and will repatch your change.
About Robin changes:
You forget to take into account the case with no advanced
authentification. My next commit will fix this.
Loïc
